It seems you do not do your job as you should.

Thanks to the DMCA the site “theovimagazine.com” has been suspended temporarily and I promise I will get it back soon BECAUSE it is MY material and it seems the DMCA doesn’t even bother CHECKING the accusations correctly. Just for example my dear friends in the DMCA: “PLEASE Show ONE, just ONE site on theovimagazine.com which contains Thanos and Asa’s work but does not give credit to them.” Where is the proof for that claim?Anyways the statements of Thanos Kalamidas and Asa Butcher are lies.
Believe it or not!…  Not even a week ago, Thanos and Asa illegally deleted all contents from my PLAYARTA.com blog and forum, but also my work that was on their host ovimagazine.com And of course I haven’t had the time to change ALL logos of the ovi magazine, since the work published was LEGAL at the time of creation since it was published, created and programmed by me on ovimagazine.com and Thanos K. and Asa B. contributed to it!  There was no contract that Ovi belongs only to ovimagazine.comCheck out google CACHE! And you will see that what is on my theovimagazine.com is exactly what was on ovimagazine.com because I CREATED ALL contents of ovimagazine.com  AND THEY ARE STILL USING IMAGES WHICH I CREATED/EDITED/MODIFIEY on their ovimagazine.com site!!!The ONLY thing “they” did was to send me word documents of their articles and the articles of other people. I was the PUBLISHER in this case. I created the images and programming as every feature and IDEA on the site. Of course it now only lives in the deep cache of google… until I get justice! In your accusation to the DMCA you say: 

“The entire site is filled with copyrighted material and he has changed the author names on all of Asa Butcher and Thanos Kalamidas’ work to his own (Oliver H.), but the links still go to our names! Beware of any confusion because he has also created a web domain that is almost the same as our magazine” 

Again… WHERE DID I PUT OLIVER H. ??? Maybe you should have thought a few seconds before writing that to DMCA, because it’s written now, and there is NO BACK. This is proof of your lies Thanos and Asa. Proof it! 

Almost ONE year I have been programming, designing and creating stuff for “our” ovi magazine. Of course now I know what you mean when you say that I belong to “the inner circle”. Now I understand why in your attached emails I never get a “how are you” or a “thank you”… you just send me the original word documents and unedited pictures for me to work on and expect me to do this for what? I edited you big MP3 files every WEEK to upload it and have done more than you can imagine!  If you had bought my services THEN you may have a right to say you paid for them and are the ONLY respective OWNER but NO, it was OUR work, mostly mine since there is a BIG difference in writing simple text into Microsoft’s word, or programming, designing, structuring and making a whole site work!!! And SORRY, but as publisher I never signed a contract which said STRICTLY ONLY ON OVIMAGAZINE.COM… this means I could have published it on yourface.com! So what is wrong with theovimagazine.com??? It is an EXACT copy of MY work in the last year BEFORE you decided kicking me out on your host ovimagazine.com AND EVEN delete all my work on MY server playarta.com 

Obviously this has just happened a few days ago and I have NOT had the chance to change the LOGO and did NOT receive a NOTICE about the “problem” .. well then keep the logo! Didn’t you read my blog??? I did say that I was creating a new logo… so please get a LIFE you two!  Actually you had opportunities to be honest with me and tell me what was going on and that you wanted me out, but you kept on lying. And this is what causes me to believe you are indeed total liars. This is why I have no concern in listening to you anymore or taking you seriously… you are bad people and are trying to destroy something you have not the right to. This is really LOW from you AND THE DMCA. i hope they will realize that you are no more than a bunch of sad liars that have not only lost their partner but a good friend. For what? I don’t know! I have not published any recent work of yours and never claimed to be the author/creator of any work of yours. 

Who invented e-learning computing?

(AP) — Every day, millions of students taking online college courses act in much the same way as their bricks-and-mortar counterparts. After logging on, they move from course to course and do things like submit work in virtual drop boxes and view posted grades — all from a program running on a PC.

It may seem self-evident that virtual classrooms should closely resemble real ones. But a major education software company contends it wasn’t always so obvious. And now, in a move that has shaken up the e-learning community, Blackboard Inc. has been awarded a patent establishing its claims to some of the basic features of the software that powers online education.

The patent, awarded to the Washington, D.C.-based company in January but announced last month, has prompted an angry backlash from the academic computing community, which is fighting back in techie fashion — through online petitions and in a sprawling Wikipedia entry that helps make its case.

Critics say the patent claims nothing less than Blackboard’s ownership of the very idea of e-learning. If allowed to stand, they say, it could quash the cooperation between academia and the private sector that has characterized e-learning for years and explains why virtual classrooms are so much better than they used to be.

The patent is “is antithetical to the way that academia makes progress,” said Michael Feldstein, assistant director of the State University of New York’s online learning network and one of the bloggers who has criticized the company.

Blackboard, which recently became the dominant company in the field by acquiring rival WebCT, says the critics misunderstand what the patent claims. But the company does say it must protect its $100 million investment in the technology. The day the patent was announced, Blackboard sued rival Desire2Learn for infringement and is seeking royalties.

“It just wouldn’t be a level playing field if someone could come onto the scene tomorrow, copy everything that Blackboard and WebCT have done and call it their own,” said Blackboard general counsel Matthew Small.

Waterloo, Ontario-based Desire2Learn said it was surprised by the lawsuit but will defend itself vigorously. No court date has been set.

The dispute is part of a contentious area of the law concerning patents awarded not just on invented objects, but on ideas and processes. In theory, patents can be awarded on a whole range of ideas as long as they are “non-obvious” and the Patent Office sees no evidence they have been described before. Patents have been awarded for everything from types of credit card offers to methods of teaching a golf swing…

Isn’t the world just going nuts! Of course it is not correct to copy software or already established work, for example if there is a company using a CD which does certain things like vocabulary checking, grammatical stuff, etc… it would be illegal to copy exactly the same software and publish it under another name. 

But would it be illegal to create a own software? Maybe even better and similar? Obviously a teaching technique is a way of doing something and even if it’s possible to patent a way of teaching I think that it’s unfair to other teaching company’s to deny them a sort and way of teaching! I think it’s ridiculous! What matters is that people and teachers evolve and find new and better ways of sharing information! As long as you don’t steal the work of somebody, I think it IS OK if you spend your time and money in finding better ways of teaching! 

Education is very important and especially here in Mexico. What would happen if there are new and better ways of teaching BUT the only company who has the “patent” of using it is way to expensive for many people! This is called a MONOPOLY Isn’t THAT illegal and supposed to belong to the “past”? 

Anyways… I have already started developing a sort of learning program for the Mexican population and I will hope to work another year on it so soon everybody who has 5 pesos can go to a cyber cafe and log into the website and start learning FOR FREE! Yes for free! WHY? Well… because I have always believed that information should be free. It will cost me a lot of work to create and develop especially the video teachings, but… it’s the last thing I can give back to this world. And maybe I will encourage more people to see that many schools are more “busyness” than for “educational” purposes… and ESPECIALLY here in MEXICO! Teachers are paid bad and don’t even know their material or how to teach. I know this is not only in Mexico, and that by giving free online classes I wont change the world… but Mexico is being invaded from Americans and Europeans, and sad thing is that all these strangers WONT learn SPANISH. Well not ALL of them but the majority. WHY? 

Because they expect the Mexicans to learn English… but you know what? The majority of Mexicans don’t earn more than 50-100 pesos a day (5-10 usd) and are not able to afford the money and time to go to English classes which makes this a devils circle since without English they wont be able to get a good job, etc… Think about this before screaming and shouting INJUSTICE! They are COPYING MY METHODS of teachings!

This news is one of those things that remind me how horrible sick humans can be. Just imagine how many crimes are out there without being noticed. How many people and especially women have to go through things that we’ll never know. How many babysitters hit and violate kids and babys. How many military personal torture innocent victims. Yes INOCENT! And even if NOT inocent… this world isn’t as bad as it was hundreds of years ago, when they burned women for their eye color or killed jews for their money… but is this a better world today?

Or might it just be that things are “more silent” today and that crimes aren’t easy to recognize since the masses are kept distracted worrying about things that are irrelevant in this world. Instead of thinking twice to buy a car, to prevent ambiental damage, we don’t… we just buy it. Instead of sharing work and things with others we guard it like a jelous dog that has nothing better to do than see the one bone.. his bone.

Police asked Ernst Holzapfel later that day to identify a photograph of Wolfgang Priklopil, who had thrown himself beneath a commuter train after his hostage, Natascha Kampusch, escaped on August 23.

“It was terrible for me,” Holzapfel said in comments quoted by Austrian radio. “At the police station, I then had to identify Mr. Priklopil in the photo after the suicide.”

Hours earlier, a panicked Priklopil had called him and asked to be picked up from a shopping center, saying it was an emergency, Holzapfel said. They drove to another Vienna location, and Priklopil told his friend he had fled a police checkpoint because he was drunk, Holzapfel said.

Holzapfel — who met Priklopil in the 1980s and worked with him in the 90s — said he knew nothing about Kampusch’s escape, after she was imprisoned for eight years in Priklopil’s tidy, suburban home just north of the Austrian capital. Kampusch, who was 10 when she was snatched off a Vienna street, was kept in a cramped, windowless, basement cell….

Updated July 18 – At least 27 cities in the U.S., Europe, and Canada have already organized events for July 19, the International Day of Action Against Homophobic Persecution in Iran. The original call to action for July 19 was initiated jointly by the militant British gay rights group OutRage and the Paris-based International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) for world-wide demonstrations on July 19, the first anniversary of the public hanging in Iran of two gay teens, Mahmoud Asgari and Ayaz Marhoni. Photos of the execution of the two boys, who were hanged in the public square of the city of Mashad last year (photo above left), created international outrage when they were widely circulated on the Internet, and focused the world’s attention on Iran’s ongoing, lethal reign of terror targeting Iranian gays.Protests have already been scheduled for the anniversary of the teens’ execution in a number of large European cities, including London, Moscow, Frankfurt, Milan, Marseille, Amsterdam, Vienna, Dublin, Stockholm, and Brussels.

Local gay groups and ad hoc committees have already scheduled U.S. events in San Francisco, San Diego, , Washington, D.C., Seattle, Fort Lauderdale, Salt Lake City, Sioux Falls (So. Dakota), Tulsa (Oklahoma), Chicago, and Provincetown for July 19. And there will be commemorative meetings in Toronto and Vancouver in Canada.(A list of all those demonstrations and events in the U.S. and around the world, with contacts, is at the bottom of this post).

The call for global demonstrations has also been endorsed by the Persian Gay and Lesbian Organization (PGLO), the largest Iranian gay group, which has secretariats in several European countries and Canada. “We enthusiastically support the call for demonstrations on July 19, and we are very grateful to our brothers and sisters for organizing these demonstrations for our beleaguered Iranian gay people,” Arsham Parsi (left) , human rights secretary of the PGLO, told Gay City News from his base in Toronto, where he and local gay organizations are organizing a demonstration..

The PGLO has also asked all its members in Iran to display lighted candles in their windows on July 19 in memory of the two hanged Iranian lads — “That’s about all we can ask our members in Iran to do safely without bringing down persecution on their heads from the regime’s police and the homo-hating paramilitary basiji thugs who work for the ayatollahs,” Parsi said.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan the Turkish prime minister in a speech he gave in front the European Parliament while the body was talking about freedom of speech and religious believes; appeared representing the Islamic world and he tried to express the Islamic opinion on freedom of speech, emphasizing the need of control. He did all that reminding the incident of the Mohammed cartoons adding and demanding that Islam-phobia should become crime against humanity like it is anti-Semitism. Taking things even further the Turkish prime minister talked about Europe in crisis!!!

First of all is a wander how the Turkish prime minister dares talking to a council he doesn’t recognize and oddly enough forcing to accept him as a member. From the minute he doesn’t recognize one of its members doesn’t recognize anybody and it is simple as that.

Then what about the Kurd-phobia and Cyprus-phobia and in extension the Democracy-phobia Turkey is suffering? Their phobia is so strong that after the Armenian genocide leads to the Kurds genocide and they are definitely working hard on the Greek minority termination in Turkey.

If he feels as Islamic leader why doesn’t he organizes the rest of the Islamic countries into an I.U. Islam United?

Freedom of speech? That sounds like a bad joke when it comes to the Islamic world. Shouldn’t Mr. Erdogan before tell us about democracy and freedom of speech, have a look into his own country? By the way, does Mr. Erdogan have any ‘freedom of speech’ himself? Don’t the Turkish generals have to approve every single word he says?

Last, does Europe needs democracy lessons from Turkey? Turkey has proved the last 100 years that the only thing they can export except occupation armies is fascism.

The World Cup in Germany moved to the next level of the tournament with Brazil winning Ghana 3-0 and France, Spain 3-1. but everybody seems disappointed and somehow I’m having enough from all the things I’m reading in all the media and the blogs.

Ronaldo did score making a new record but it seems that everybody is talking about his fat. I think the Brazilian team should officially make a statement to all the football fans all around the world because all their players didn’t do the magic triple jump on the air, while flying 100 meters over the ground and score while reading the works of T.S. Eliot.

Then the French team should follow with an apologize statement because the old foggy Zidane after crossed the dangerous thirty years in age (unbelievable age for a football player) and instead of carrying a cane and complain all the time for his arthritics he dared pass three Spanish players and score the last minute of the extended time. Much worst because the former world cup winners dared win Spain. Is this football?

I left England last because it is unbelievable and thanks god the ex-spice girl kissed Beckham before the game so he managed to score, otherwise the man hasn’t got the character to be the captain of the national team, he’s weak and looks depress, his dogs need a psychologist and he bought a new ring for his wife!!! How dare he play football still?

What’s the latest? Don’t look at Ronaldino smiling all the time, he’s an evil character and he hates French after what happened eight years ago!!!

US President George W Bush has outlined his position on the US prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, which he says he “would like to end”.

Mr. Bush pledged to send many detainees back to their home countries, but said he wanted to put some on trial because they were “cold-blooded killers”. The comments came after talks with EU leaders at a one-day summit in Vienna.

This is ‘breaking news’ on the online version of BBC and I don’t know why but behind this one ‘but’ I have the feeling that is hiding one much bigger ‘but’ and the distance between ‘I would like to’ to the ‘I will do’ is much bigger than two words. Actually I’m pretty sure that the distance is more than a couple of light-years.

Guantanamo must close here and now and not the ‘thought’ or ‘wish’ to close it to be used as P.R. for better relations between USA and EU.
