Child poverty in Finland
According to a UNICEF report from last March, Finland and Demark have the least number of children suffering from poverty in the industrialised world. Sadly that number is still too high with Finland’ number standing at 130,000 in 2003.
The number of children living in foster care is around 14,000, a number considered high by STAKES.
The Finnish government says it is trying to help those suffering from economic hardships, but what can it really do to ease the situation?

You should send that to the relevent governmental office - they need incisive people like you! Yes, money, but how much, where does it need to be spent?

Spend it on people, chairitys or good ideas. Anyone who can plan a good way to make schools, healthcare and create jobs might know better how to spend the money. If anyone has time.. you can read on the internet thousands of things people do to help, I guess the question is more.. how much money is available and how many people need help? I think it’s responsability of those authorities who manage the taxes and somehow have agreed to improove poverty , but in the most cases these people are assholes! So let’s hope something good happens in.. ummm maybe a hundred years? cause you aint gonna see much this year!
